Kitchen Refit

If your kitchen isn’t fit for purpose then you are going to want to change it up a little. The kitchen can often be referred to as the heart of the home so it needs to be practical. If you spend a lot of time entertaining and wining and dining in the kitchen then it needs to suit your needs. You may be slightly worried that a full kitchen refit will set you back too much money. This doesn’t have to be the case and small changes can make the world of difference.

If you want more storage then you might have to invest in some new cupboards, however you can sometimes get these second hand from your local selling pages. Keep an eye out if you want some new cupboard space. An alternative to buying new cupboards is to improve the ones you currently have. You can do this simply with a pot of paint and some new handles.

Bathroom Makeover

If you are wanting to make your bathroom a bit more user-friendly or family-friendly then there are a few things to take note of. The first thing to think about is the flooring. If you have young children or vulnerable adults in your home you will want to invest in good quality non-slip flooring.

You could take a look at different flooring options online or in your local DIY store. A great option for bathroom flooring is non-slip vinyl sheeting. Vinyl flooring is an affordable option and a popular one too due to it being waterproof and highly durable.

Brighten It Up

If your home is looking a bit dull and dreary, a quick fix would be to paint the walls or whack on some wallpaper. This can make a big difference to a room and it can go from being dark, dingy, and unwelcoming to a fantastically bright, welcoming environment.

If you are stuck between deciding whether to use paint or wallpaper let us help you out. Ultimately it is your decision but paint is a tad cheaper than wallpaper. Wallpaper you have to overestimate, especially if you get one where the patterns have to match.

You could add a feature wall to your lounge or bedroom, or both if you are feeling daring. A feature wall is a wall that stands out and is different to the other walls in the room. For example your walls could be white, and your feature wall could be dark grey or black.
