Hey, I’m Kristan. Creating is my passion, and blogging is my outlet.
I created everything you’ll find on my site (except for the theme – graphic design and coding is not my forte). I’ve loved writing since I was 9 years old, and that love turned into blogging just a little over five years ago. I started out with my personal blog, Milk and Pancakes, in 2011. By 2014, it had morphed into Twentysomething as a way to share my DIY projects, creative non-fiction pieces, and occasionally some organization tips.
Then in January 2017, I put on my big girl pants and began my lifestyle blog, Kristangible.
The name comes from my social media handle, a combination of Kristan + tangible. I like to tell people I came up with the name because my words are so real you can feel them.
Most of my work week is spent working behind a desk as a business manager, where I deal with accounting and clerical work plus occasional special projects. I have a certificate in business foundations, and am currently finishing my bachelor’s degree in English with a focus in creative writing and a minor in literature. It’s been a long journey and I’ve still got a few semesters to go, but I’m working my ass off to get there.
When I’m not at my regular desk job or school, I create things.
I publish most of my creations on this blog, but I used to create articles as a contributor for The Bolde. You can find my posts on the site here. Earlier this year I had some work published on Thought Catalog as well, which you can read here. But my most recent and proudest creation is a baby girl named Elsie Annabel – my first child and my motivation to keep moving forward.
Every now and then you might find some motivational messages in my posts, and they can really inspire you just like they did for Amanda.
“This is exactly what I needed to read. Thank you so much for this! It was very encouraging. :)”
